Abstract:
According to the Constitution and the Civil Service Management Law, one of the sovereign duties of the government of the Islamic Republic is to protect the country's cultural heritage. Article 83 of the Constitution addresses the government's duty to protect historical monuments and prohibit and restrict their transfer. Today, one of the best and most effective ways and methods of recording and protecting these valuable and precious works is to collect data and create a database and cadastral system. On the other hand, given the limitations in using land surveying methods to conduct a cadastre of cultural, historical and ancient heritage, measuring the dimensions and details of features without touching them is doubly necessary. Today, various studies have examined the accuracy of aerial and satellite images, but so far no assessment has been made on the accuracy of different images for use in the field of cultural heritage cadastre. Therefore, there is a problem in the field of photogrammetry and remote sensing capabilities in the development of cultural heritage cadastre. This research was conducted for the first time with the aim of investigating the geometric accuracy and photogrammetric and remote sensing capabilities in the development of the cultural heritage cadastre. For the specified purposes, Google Earth, Bing satellite images, and aerial images were used as data sources. Then, the accuracies of the data sources used were analyzed, evaluated, and compared.
